Chymostatin is a cell permeable, reversible inhibitor possessing a C-terminal phenylalaninal of chymostatin which inhibits chymotrypsin. This peptide aldehyde inhibits several proteinases: chymotrypsin chymotrypsin-like serine proteinases cysteine proteinases such as cathepsins B and G where X = Leu (A), Val (B) or Ile (C) working concentration: 10-100 mM Average Molecular Weight: 604.28 form A, MW = 607.7 B, MW = 593.7 C, MW = 607.7 Chymostatin is a mixture of several components, typically ~70% chymostatin A, ~20% chymostatin B and 5-10% chymostatin C.
